Keune

Keune er en familiebedrift som startet opp i Amsterdam i 1922. Det er en av få familieeide bedrifter som produserer hårprodukter eksklusivt for frisører. Bedriften har gjennom årene utviklet seg til å bli en betydelig aktør i markedet, og er i dag representert i over 80 land. I 1995 bygget Keune sin nåværende fabrikk i Soest utenfor Amsterdam, en fabrikk som hele tiden utvikles og moderniseres. Her har de også bygget opp et av Europas mest moderne laboratorier innenfor utvikling av hårprodukter. Et profesjonelt studioteam jobber kontinuerlig med utvikling av nye produkter, moter og trender. Keune leverer kvalitetsprodukter til frisørene. Ta steget inn i deres fantastiske verden av hårprodukter!

Sustainability Report

We find ourselves in the decade of action – a time that calls for acceleration of sustainable solutions to all the world’s biggest challenges, from poverty and climate change to gender inequality and other forms of injustice. Keune is a family company. This means for us the aim is not short-term profit, but long-term value creation. We share our sustainability strategy and ambitions, ensuring a long-term vision for areas in which we can make the biggest positive impact. Our strategy focuses on three key pillars, based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:

PEOPLE
Keune’s corporate mission is in fact a social mission, closely connected to increasing people’s well-being all over the world. Especially for those people we interact with directly, we have extended our ambitions.

PRODUCTION
We believe we can impact the challenges that our planet is facing most effectively by reducing our total energy and water consumption, reformulating our formulas, and focusing on responsible ingredients from a natural source.

PRODUCTS
We invest in lighter packaging and concentrated formulas. This way, we use less resources such as paper, water and plastic, and reduce CO2 emissions when transporting our products. 

GOALS
To achieve our long-term sustainability ambitions, we have set ourselves 10 clear goals:

  1. Every year, we invest in the well-being and happiness of our employees.
  2. Every year, we will stimulate structural growth of communities.
  3. By 2030, we will have reduced the carbon footprint of our operations by 50%. With almost 4.000 solar panels we are right on track.
  4. By 2030, we will recycle or reuse 90% of the water used in our factory.
  5. By 2030, 90% of the waste produced in our factory and our offices will be recycledor reused.
  6. By 2030, 100% of our new packaging materials will be made from recycled or biobased materials. This means no virgin fossil-based plastic.
  7. By 2028, 100% of our packaging will be recyclable, reusable and/or refillable.
  8. By 2030, 100% of the natural ingredients we use in our products and packaging will be fully traceable and sustainable.
  9. We increase transparency and drive sustainable growth throughout our supply chain.
  10. We never test on animals.
